The United Nations Multidisciplinary Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA)
The The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) was established by Security Council resolution 2100 of 25 April 2013 to support political processes in that country and to carry out a number of security tasks.
The Mission was requested to support the transitional authorities of Mali in stabilizing the situation in the country and implementing the transition roadmap, focusing on large settlements and communication lines, protecting civilians, respecting human rights, creating conditions for the provision of humanitarian assistance and the return of displaced persons, restoring state authority and preparing for free, inclusive and peaceful elections.
From 2022 to 2023, two Kazakhstani military personnel participated in the mission as staff officers.
Currently, in accordance with the Decision of the UN Security Council, the work of the United Nations Multidisciplinary Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali has been terminated.
