Kazakh peacekeepers arrived from the Republic of Mali

Two officers of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan returned to their home after a year of service as part of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).

In the mission, they served as staff officers.

– During the mission, we collected and analyzed information, prepared recommendations and proposals to the headquarters on its logistical support, checked the readiness of UN bases in the sectors of responsibility, - peacekeeper Yermek Tulessov outlined the range of tasks performed.

Upon arrival in Kazakhstan, Lieutenant Colonel Y. Tulessov will continue teaching at the Peace Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defense. He will train peacekeepers for other UN missions and share his valuable experience. After all, besides Mali, a few years ago Yermek Tulessov served in the UN mission in Western Sahara.
