Representatives from 60 nations participated in the conference, which is the 9th Conference on Partnership subjects and initiatives. The conference is traditionally hosted by a Partner nation. This was the first Partnerships Conference held in the Middle East, reflecting the importance of partners in the region and NATO’s 360-degree approach. This year also marks the 25th Anniversary for the Partnership for Peace programme and Mediterranean Dialogue frameworks.
The conference provided a venue for Partnership briefings, key leader presentations and the opportunity for Partners to engage with staff officers and supporting headquarters.
During the conference the exhibition of NATO and Partners education and training facilities took place. The exhibition was held concurrently with MSPC-2019. Numerous representatives from NATO Education and Training Facilities, Centres of Excellence, Partnership Training and Education Centres and other education and training providers as well as partners, which provide education and training opportunities following NATO requirements to Partners and Allies participated in the event. All exhibitors promoted their portfolios, made recommendations to Conference participants responsible for planning partnership activities with NATO on best-suited opportunities and engaged in mutually beneficial discussions.
