A new plan of cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross has been signed

At the end of February in Nur-Sultan Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov, Deputy Minister of Defense met Sangita Koenig, the Head of the Regional Representation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Central Asia.
The sides discussed issues concerning strengthening the peacekeeping potential of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan. Special attention was paid to the development of the Peacekeeping Training Centre, the organization of training courses on international humanitarian law and the exchange of expert opinions on peacekeeping issues.
"The annual courses on international humanitarian law and the law of armed conflict, conducted by instructors of the International Committee of the Red Cross, are an important part of the training of our peacekeepers for the UN mission," Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov said in his speech.
The Deputy Minister of Defense expressed confidence that the current negotiations will expand the horizons of mutually beneficial cooperation with the organization.
Following the results of the meeting between the Deputy of the Minister of Defense and the Head of the Regional Representation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Central Asia, a Cooperation Plan for 2022 was signed.
