Cooperation in American English Language Training

From the 4th of September until the 27th of October, 2017, there was a Mobile Training Team from the Defense Language Institute English Language Center (USA) at “Partnership for Peace” Training Center (KAZСENT). This collaboration was within the framework of the “International Military Education and Training” program (IMET 2018) and the Five-year Military Cooperation Plan between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Department of Defense of the United States of America.
The aim of the visit was to provide consultation to KAZCENT’s language section teaching staff in conducting English classes.
During the visit experience with different pedagogic topics was exchanged, including English language teaching methods, basic overview of conducting an oral proficiency interview, providing grammar materials and enhancement of students’ phonetic skills. This positively affected students’ mastery of material seen during class time.
