UN COMPREHENSIVE PROTECTION OF CIVILIANS COURSE

The international “United Nations Comprehensive Protection of Civilians Course” was held in Almaty at the Peace Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Twenty-five students participated in the Course, including representatives of Great Britain and Kyrgyzstan. Experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross, UN Women, as well as instructors from German Joint Operations Command of Bundeswehr and Japan Peacekeeping Training and Research Center were invited to the course as guest speakers.
The audience was acquainted with the structure of the UN, its principles and the legal framework for UN peacekeeping operations and the importance of international law.
The Course is UN certified and is conducted in English. Upon completion of the training, the students received international certificates.
