15 military servants from Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Mozambique and Pakistan are being trained. Representatives of the regional office of the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as a British expert from the UN mission in Cyprus, are invited as speakers.
Troughout two-week period, officers are trained for duties in multinational headquarters involved with a peacekeeping operations conducted under the auspices of the United Nations. The “UN Staff Officers” course is conducted in English, and it was internationally certified in 2018.
During the course, attendees will get acquainted with structure, principles, procedures of the United Nations, as well as with the legal framework governing peacekeeping activities. The program provides planning and decision-making processes, the main functions of departments and services of international headquarters in UN missions.
