The aim of the visit was to familiarize officers of the High Command staff of Indian Armed Forces with the structure, activities and capabilities of the "Partnership for Peace" training center.
Major R. Suleimenov, chief of the Administrative and Protocol support section, presented a presentation on the goals and objectives, the structure and activities of the center, the results achieved and the prospects for development.
Due to the fact that peacekeeping training and English language courses are held annually in India, the delegation expressed its readiness to accept for training both instructors and servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. And also assist in preparation, organization and implementation of the courses conducted by KAZCENT. They excluded the possibility of allocating mobile training teams for field training with peacekeeping units in peacekeeping exercises.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of the delegation and the Defense attaché noted the importance of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Defense of India in the field of peacekeeping. In this regard, in their opinion, the "Partnership for Peace" training center is a good base for training of the Kazakhstani peacekeepers in preparation for their deployment for a peacekeeping mission as part of an Indian contingent. There was also an interest expressed in further cooperation and assistance.
