CONSTRUCTION OF A CONFERENCE CENTER HAS BEGUN AT THE PEACEKEEPING TRAINING CENTER MOD

Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov took part in a solemn event in Almaty marking the beginning of construction on a new Peacekeeping Training Center complex.
Judy Kuo, the US ambassador to Kazakhstan, and Lieutenant General Wendul J. Hagler, the deputy commander of the US Central Command's ground forces, attended the event.
Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General S. Kamaletdinov thanked the representatives of the United States of America for their contribution to the development of the peacekeeping training system in the Republic of Kazakhstan and noted the high importance of this project.
The Deputy Minister of Defense stated, "The building of a contemporary conference center will greatly expand our capacities and allow us to increase the number of listeners several times, bringing the preparatory process to a qualitatively new worldwide level."
The head of the delegation, Judy Kuo, noted the significant contribution that Kazakhstan makes to international efforts to maintain peace.
It should be added that the construction of the conference center is carried out within the framework of the program "Global Initiative of Peacekeeping Operations" with the financial support of the United States.
