Deputies of the Majilis visited the Peace Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The parliamentarians were accompanied to the facilities of the Centre by Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov.

The acquaintance with the activities of the Centre began with the conference hall and the educational building, where the main directions of KAZCENT's activities, such as peacekeeping and language training of military, police and civilian personnel for participation in UN missions, were presented.

The Commandant of the Peace Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel Bauyrzhan Nigmetullin, held a briefing on the further development and expansion of peacekeeping activities, spoke about the missions in which Kazakhstani peacekeepers are currently taking part, and answered questions from Aigul Kuspan, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

– We constantly improve our skills and carefully approach the training of peacekeepers. The Center's activities are carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State and the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, who set the task of increasing the potential of the Armed Forces to participate in missions under the auspices of the United Nations, Bauyrzhan Nigmetullin clarified.

When visiting the Bitimger training center, the members of the Majilis became acquainted with the process of peacekeeping training of the national contingent to participate in UN missions, as well as equipping military personnel with weapons, equipment and inventory.

The parlamentarians noted the high level and quality of training of the peacekeeping contingent.
