The goals of the courses were to support national and regional efforts aimed at future deployments of military, police and civilian personnel to UN-led peace and security operations.
A representative of UN DPKO/DFS Integrated Training Service visited the trainings for on-site course assessment to ensure conformation to the relevant Peacekeeping Pre-deployment Training Standards.
Recognition of these courses by the UN is expected to further promote Peacekeeping Pre-deployment Training Standards throughout the Central Asia thus reinforcing regional UN troop and police contributor capabilities.
