Exchange of experience on post-conflict operations: Kazakhstan and Italy strengthen cooperation

Meeting of experts on peacekeeping operations were held in Turin, Italy, in which a delegation of the Peace Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KAZCENT) took part.

The event is part of the plan of cooperation between the military departments of the two countries for 2023.

During the meeting, the parties presented and discussed their expert opinions on post-conflict operations in the context of peacekeeping. The key aspects that ensure the success of such operations have become important topics.

– The solution of post–conflict situations is of great importance for the world community, - said Colonel Bauyrzhan Nigmetullin, head of the Peace Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan. – And it affects such areas as security and sustainable development, humanitarian issues, human rights protection.

The exchange of experience between Kazakhstan and Italy in this area will improve the understanding and application of modern methods in post-conflict situations. Cooperation contributes to increasing the effectiveness of the peacekeeping efforts of both countries and corresponds to the common desire for global stability and security.
