A five-day OSCE regional course Introduction to Humanitarian Mine Action Systems” took place in KAZCENT over the period April 1-5, 2019.

The Partnerships Directorate has held their annual Military Strategic Partnerships Conference (MSPC) in Amman which was hosted by the Jordanian Ministry of Defence over the period 25-29 March 2019.

The completion of the non-permanent membership of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the UN Security Council was marked by another significant event of an international character. Continuing the successful preparation and deployment of the Kazakh contingent to the UNIFIL mission, on January 2, 2019, the Under Secretary General for Peacekeeping Operations, Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix, has signed two certificates of training recognition that conforms the “UN Protection of Civilians Course” and the “UN Staff Officers Course” conducted by the KAZCENT are relevant to UN Peacekeeping Pre-deployment Standards.

KAZCENT conducted the UN Staff Officer (UNSOC) and the UN Protection of Civilians (UNPOC) courses 10-14 December 2018 in Almaty.

In accordance with the Implementation Plan of the Individual Partnership Action Plan and Cooperation Programme between Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and NATO, the “Civil-military cooperation” course was held at KAZCENT from 11th to 13th of December 2018.

In a period from 3rd to 7th December 2018, Kazakh partnership for peace Training Centre’s (KAZCENT) instructors conducted an INTRO2UNPK course jointly with representatives from ICRC and CIPS-Pakistan (Centre for International Peace and Stability).

The annual Partnership Training and Education Centre Marketplace took place on 29 November 2018 at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. High-level representatives from 23 Partnership Training and Education Centres from around the world met to exchange expertise, forge new links and discuss further synergies in the key domain of military education and training.

On September 25, 2018, the "Partnership for Peace" training center hosted the delegation from College of Defense department and the Military College of Land Forces of the Indian Army with a familiarization visit with the representatives from KAZCENT.

On September 18 of this year, representatives from British Armed Forces visited "Partnership for Peace" Training Center to conduct briefing on UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon (United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon - UNIFIL). The delegation was headed by the Defense Attaché of Great Britain, Colonel Andrew Holton.

In the period from 17-21 of September 2018 on the basis of the “Partnership for Peace” training center (KAZCENT) the instructors from the US Defense Institute of International Legal Studies conducted a seminar on “Respect for human rights in peacekeeping operations under the UN auspices”. The seminar was conducted in English, with a consecutive translation into Russian.
