December 12, 2017, hub of the UNAI at the KazNU, together with the UN Office in Almaty and universities, members of the UN Academic Impact Program, organized a Round Table on "The Role of Peacekeeping Forces in Ensuring Peace and Human Rights: The 70th Anniversary of the UN Charter on Human Rights", which was broadcasted on the international communicative site G-Global.
In the agenda, topical problems of the activities of the UN peacekeeping contingent, the role of such UN organizations as Academic influence in addressing human rights and security issues were considered. Contribution of UNAI to sustainable development of activities of youth structures as the "UN Model - New Silk Road in the Strengthening of Peace and Human Rights in Central and South Asia".
Scientists of Kazakhstan universities and representatives of the "Partnership for Peace" training center of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, have analyzed the problems of regional security, noted the role of Kazakhstan as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in supporting the activities of the UN.
Representatives of foreign consulates in Almaty, young scientists, undergraduates and doctoral students of Kazakhstan universities who discussed the latest trends and achievements of UN peacekeeping activities on human rights took part in the discussion, as well as have expressed their support for pressing issues of human rights protection.
